WELCOME to ZIWC
Zug International Women’s Club was started in 1967 by two Englishwomen.
Its primary aim is to provide a point of contact for social interaction, and to offer support, friendship and information to newcomers to Switzerland and the area.
The Club is a non-political, non-religious and non-profit organisation. The Club is run by a board of 13, as well as several committees that organise numerous regular activities, seasonal parties, monthly contact coffees and special projects.
The official language of ZIWC is English, but the diverse nationalities and backgrounds of our members bring a cosmopolitan vitality and colour to all our gatherings.
Last year the Club has grown to be a thriving organisation comprising more than 320 members coming from more than 40 countries. In addition to the major country of provenance shown in the graph below, the 15% listed as “others” are coming from Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Ecuador, Finland, France, Greece, Guyana, Hungary, India, Iran, Iraq, Ireland, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Trinidad & Tobago, Turkey, Ukraine…YES, we are International!!
