The Zug International Women’s Club was founded in 1967

At ZIWC we know that finding women to connect with can sometimes be a challenge. Which is why the Zug International Women’s Club was founded in 1967 to provide friendship, community and support to women in Canton Zug and beyond. As a locally-based social and professional network we have made it our mission to promote both social and professional networking as well as encouraging the free exchange of information and resources among our members. We know that connection and community are two essential elements in any woman’s life, so whether you are new in Switzerland, returning after an absence or just looking to meet new people the Club can be your point of contact for resources, friends and fun.
Guided by a board of 13 elected members, our non-political and non-religious nonprofit organization provides weekly activities, seasonal events, visits to fascinating locations, monthly coffees for new members, and special projects in the greater community. The Club also facilitates numerous specialized Interest Groups, language conversation sessions, monthly lunches, online webinars and more. Our events also take place at any time of day so you can find something to fit your schedule, whatever it might be. And if you don’t see exactly what you’re looking for, you can share your passion by creating an Interest Group or event yourself.

Cooking Group

Are you a FOODIE and have a passion for cooking but would like to be
inspired and hone your skills?

We are a multi-national group of enthusiastic cooks: some amateur, some professional, but yearning to to learn new recipes and skills with other like-minded ladies.
We rotate in each member’s home, usually on the first Tuesday of the month (pending holidays) from 9:30-13:30.
The hostess decides how many members she can accommodate: typically 4-6 depending on the size of the kitchen. Places are allocated by whoever first responds on the WhatsApp group. The hostess plans a simple or complex meal, provides the recipes: one dish or several dishes: for meat eaters or vegan in a fun exchange of skills and abilities for a hands-on cooked meal to sit down and enjoy together.
If this speaks to your heart, please consider joining the ZIWC cooking group by contacting Donna Byron Sequeira at donnabyron@mac.com
